Commemorative Street Signs

MARKING HISTORY

In 2004 the first part of Cabbagetown was designated as a Heritage Conservation District. To celebrate the new status, to inform visitors and newcomers of it, and to keep it top of mind for all of us, eight intersections were marked with street signs containing the CPA logo and the HCD name. The signs were designed by Steve Yeates, printed by the City of Toronto and paid for by proceeds from the Cabbagetown Tour of Homes.

The signs are located at:

• Sackville St. and Carlton St.
• Sackville St. and Winchester Ave.
• Sackville St. and Amelia St.
• Sackville St. and Wellesley Ave. West
• Sumach St. and Carlton St.
• Sumach St. and Wellesley Ave. West
• Metcalfe St. and Wellesley Ave. West
• Metcalfe St. and Winchester Ave.
